Sensitive skins often struggle with ‘nasties’ - better referred to as ‘synthetics’ - in mainstream skincare.
With our own family growing up, and a few sensitive skins in the mix, I wasn't always excited to slap on 'what ever' to combat the effects of some of life’s little mishaps and was often 'left wanting'.
 

​While obtaining my Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation I decided that the family could do with a good NATURAL healing/skin restoring ointment of our own and set myself to work. The final result performed well beyond expectation; often matching or even outperforming 'mainstream' products for the same skin concerns but without any side effects for us! Needless to say, it quickly became the family's go-to First Aid response for many skin related issues. Since then, our kids, ourselves and friends have loved using what is now our 'Care + R’pair – First Aid in a Jar' on an ever increasing list of skin 'blemishes'.

In search of (new) solutions our proud New Zealand natives, that have been used in Rongoā Māori for centuries, are always the first line of research. They are often combined with Tamanu, a Pacific powerhouse that I fell in love with when I was studying, and paired with botanicals from elsewhere to create the very best result that nature has to offer. We aim to use organic where possible, refrain from 'nasties' and keep things free of Palm/SLS/PEGs/Parabens/GMOs while also reducing our footprint on the environment by opting for recyclable packaging and shipping materials as much as we can.

Our respected whanau elders taught us to ‘love thy neighbour’ by which they meant caring for and looking after those in the community doing it harder than yourself.
