Our inspiration
More than quarter of a century ago, our late whanau elder visited northern Uganda, Africa. Moved by the poverty encountered he put his own 'love thy neighbour' into effect and reached out with small scale projects to support locals in their fight against famines, disease and poverty.
Following good example, my husband and I focussed on improving youngsters‘ prospects by supporting their education. Sometimes this was as simple as buying a school uniform to help a student enter the state funded school system that was already in place. Other times school fees were required for adolescents pursuing a career as teacher, electrician, mechanic or other profession that suited their local opportunities and personal talents.
Fast forward to today
NZ’s bounty, and a lifetime of loving nature's 'mahu', paved the way to create SENZ Botanicals with the desire for a wider whanau to benefit from.
With the experience of Uganda in our backpack, we wish to continue to include others in our care and support our 'neighbors' here and now. And so, today, our Aroha comes in the form of donating a portion of every product sold to Kids Can - a proud NZ charity that works to provide support, shelter and encouragement to our youngsters and helping them to stay in school.
This means that every time YOU choose to purchase our products, you too INCLUDE OTHERS in your care, turning your botanical skincare into ‘inclusive skincare’.
